Such as it is, the sketch

i might come back and make a finished piece out of this, but the purpose was to have fun with my pencils in the hour or so of decent light.
Here's a couple photos: https://wondersandmarvels-wonderfull.blogspot.com/2020/03/not-quite-wordless-wednesday-field.html

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday: The Field Behind

A few weeks ago, we drove to Boom's wedding.
Google says it's 16 hours drive from here, but, what with my needing to get out every couple of hours, we had a motel for a couple of nights each way.
  This was the 2nd one.

i spent a half hour sketching the view.  The photos, at the beginning & end of the session, do not show the change of light clearly enough. But it does show clearly how wet the weather was: the bench is on concrete, not in a pond!

Wordless Wednesday: Bridge of Character

This is in Danville, IN, on Cartersburg Road, just south on where Old and New US36 come together.
Today we came home via backroads.  i love not only the arches on this bridge, but the twining vegetation.

Wordless Wednesday: Two Trips to Cumberland Falls

The earlier trip, right, it looks like i was, quite reasonably, nervous about being perched there.  The later trip, left two photos, i remember thoroughly enjoying myself - and my dad got in trouble with my mom when she came back!

Hmmm, on looking at this again, i wonder if that WAS Cumberland in the 3rd photo.  The falls are much closer, and the railing is different.  i might think it was Niagara Falls, but i'm pretty sure my trip with MyGuy about 15 years ago was the first i'd been there.
Anyone have any thoughts?  i know my parents were quite the road trippers.

Wordless Wednesday: Art from a Photo

The photo is from the 2008 trip MyGuy and i took to Hawaii.  The view is from the shelter on Spencer bBach north of Kona on the Big Island.

Story from an Old Song

i wrote this last summer; i don't think i posted it then?
Anyone recognize my inspiration?

I was on my way out to gather eggs when i saw them.  Two

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday: French Cathedral

Chartres Cathedral, 1976, from the edge of town

One of those Photos my friends thought i shouldn't take: One of the gorgeous, famous stained glass windows in the cathedral - not enough detail to determine which

Wordless Wednesday: Castle or Palace?

Hohenzollern Castle: never used as fortress, but built where former castles WERE
Everybody's Favorite Fairy Tale Castle, Newschwanstein, a mad king's fantasy

Wordless Wednesday: from my art class

The original photo showed two more arches and interesting branches from teacher Laura's trip to the Alamo.  i snipped the photo and pasted the greenery & branch from other parts of the photo..
