Midweek Photos: Remembering Normal Walking

  When i was in my mid-twenties, i enjoyed the swings on the playgrounds.  Once, i realized i was late for work while doing this, and came to a sudden, feet hard on the ground stop, from high speed.
  It hurt a lot then, but took awhile to catch up to me. 
  Last fall, i had one total knee replacement (TKR), and last month, i had the other.

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday: The Beast in the House

  While my new knee, total knee replacement, is doing well (nice to remember what normal walking is!), the swelling in my leg hadn't gone down. So now i have a new diagnosis, lymphedema.
  It seems mine began in adolescence, about the time my legs changed from chubby child to serious thunder thighs.  But it hadn't gotten bad until the stress of the latest surgery.

Open Letter from a Computer Techie: "Most of the time. . . ."

i'm hardly a computer expert.  MyGuy is; he tells me "Do whatever you like; you can't break it."
And once every couple of years i do "break" it.  Spectacularly.
But usually the just "try something" concept works.  It's gotten me, pretty much an untrained person, something of a reputation as a computer expert.

The Sibling Leadership Network is studying the support needs of siblings of individuals with disabilities. We invite you to complete this survey and to encourage other individuals you know to participate in the National Survey about Siblings of Individuals with Disabilities, their Support Needs, and their Families. We are looking for people to share their perspectives. The survey is for the following individuals to complete:
