Navigating this Site: How i've set it up

Occasionally i get questions about how to do this or that: email me, subscribe, whatever.
Periodically i'll change some of the formatting.  Here is the setup as of tonight; i don't expect to remove anything, though i do occasionally move stuff.
And this post is really LONG.  But i've put the most requested parts toward the top, easier for you to find..
Really, everything you're looking for should be here.  If you're

Fall 2018 Craft Fairs

Last weekend i set up at the fair at DCHS.  None of my things sold, but i helped Indy Decorative Artists by selling $100 worth of quilt tickets.
Our quilt is a group effort.  We all submit hand painted squares, the best are chosen, then we hire the quilting done.  With the proceeds, we fund our seminars, but also donate half ot them to Riley Hospital for Children.
Next Saturday, November 10, i will set up at Perry Meridian Middle School.  Stop in & say hi.

Almost Wordless Wednesday: Reconfiguring

The green pencil is the length the blue slate and white were when i started my session. Actually the white went down in more places than the slate blue, but it broke continually for me as i sharpened it.  Likewise, while i didn't use the light blue that day, i had used it a great deal over several months.  It hasn't broken for me yet, though it is harder to get it to hold a point than my Faber Castell ones.
A few weeks ago, i shared a bit about my experience with the Prismacolor pencils.
Today i've got photos of the new pencil case arrangements.

Recycling DropOff

MyGuy confessed that he was having trouble dropping off the old push mowers at the recycling place, since Saturday morning was the only time their hours interwove his availability.
i asked, That's their only hours?
He said, No, they're also open weekdays, but I'm kinda not available then.
Then i opened my big mouth and said

Life Imperfect - When it Doesn't Work, Throw it Away?

So i don't have this parent thing all taped out.  We, MyGuy and i, don't have it all taped out.
i buy clothes from catalogs because i hate pawing through stuff in stores.    Take measurements, find the photo of what you want, call, and it comes.
If it doesn't fit, return & try again.  My idea of no hassle.
But i don't understand guy measurements, and Max doesn't do try-ons.
So when we REALLY goofed on some pants last fall -- he cut them up.
  No refund, no exchange.
Today's discovery of destruction was worse.

Before and After

This is a portrait of a feeling.
Dry, alone, with a grey sky and a wide, clear but joyless path of duty before you.
It's even off-center with stuff in the way. The path is clear enough, but there's bothersome little STUFF in front of you.
   Ever been here?
This past weekend, i have "worked a Discipleship Walk."  My family knows that, along with the other STUFF i've been doing, it's pretty well consumed all of me in the days  and weeks leading up to the weekend, and i came home Sunday afternoon exhausted.  i dropped the luggage in the living room, collapsed in a chair, then dragged myself to bed for a three hours, dead to the world.
Why would anyone do something like this?
   Joy.
The Discipleship Walks that i participate in are a small part of the worldwide Christian Cursillo movement, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cursillo.  They go by various names, and are associated with various parts of the body of Christ, aka denominations.  Some are explicitly about the sponsoring church, others explicitly nondemoniational. These weekends are not about conversion.   The Disciples who come on the Walk learn, through talks and experience, the nuts & bolts of Christian life in a way that they've likely never known before, even if they've lived as a Christ-follower for decades.
It's exhausting, it's fun way better than an amusement park, it's joyful.  There's ALWAYS more than enough to eat.  Sleep, maybe not so much, but you're only seriously sleep deprived if you don't go to bed when you get the chance.
And the view along the path is a lot more like this now.
