Christians Reading Fiction
Stories and community.
Were Jesus' stories fiction or nonfiction?
Who can say? Who can say how much any storyteller's stories are "for real"?
Writers ask themselves questions, and weave stories around the answers.
We can walk a mile in shoes we wouldn't normally go near. And the wearers of those shoes are people Jesus died for, sent us to share with.
Oh, and the opposite of "fiction" is "fact."
Facts are often dry and dull. Stories, though, engage us, and often change us.
