Reputation & Reality

The Reputation~~

i've heard it said that i'm a very intelligent person.  i share this, not because i care about the reputation, but because the reputation is already out there, and because i do want to share ~

The Reality~~

i'm actually rather lazy, especially physically.  (MyGuy looks over my shoulder and says, "Yeah, like Mycroft."  Sherlock Holmes' brother, remember?)  

The Easy~~

This mental stuff IS what comes easily to me. 
Also, i've allowed myself to get used to listening to & reading words i don't always understand.

Like with anything else, it comes easier as you do more of it.  

The Duality~~

Numbers glaze my eyes, but with words, i have to keep going.  i may not understand much about the brain research that i'm reading about in Quiet and Imagine, but i plow through it anyway.  
And when i'm done, i still don't understand much of it, but i know more than i did.

The Hard~~

Meanwhile, i can kill plants by looking at them.  And it doesn't have to be a bad day for me to make 6+6=11.  Housekeeping, um, let's not go there.

The Conclusion~~

We've all got different gifts. We have to make the most of what we have, & neither surrender  nor beat ourselves up over what we don't have.
