i buy clothes from catalogs because i hate pawing through stuff in stores. Take measurements, find the photo of what you want, call, and it comes.
If it doesn't fit, return & try again. My idea of no hassle.
But i don't understand guy measurements, and Max doesn't do try-ons.
So when we REALLY goofed on some pants last fall -- he cut them up.
No refund, no exchange.
Today's discovery of destruction was worse.
The Speech Therapy
In '09, i think it was, with our new SSI funds for Max, we could finally afford the private speech therapy we should have been giving him all along.
Well, some of it. We quickly started bouncing checks at her recommended rate of 2 hours a week, and had to cut back to one hour a week.
Brain Train
But another part of the recommendation was Brain Train. So we bought the iPod version of the prescribed music therapy, with headphones, and attempted to administer it correctly.i think i've only in the last few months figured it out.
The headphones broke last month. They still work, but they hurt his head.
i'd been giving him pads, to make them more comfortable (part of the therapy involves hearing the music through the bones), but last week he'd had enough and i stopped making him listen.
That would've been in the car. And i didn't check the components in the tray Max brought back in.
New Headphones
So today we bought new headphones, and i looked - overdue looked, finally - for the iPod.
Couldn't find it.
"Max, where is your iPod?"
"In the car."
So i went out & shoveled the car, also overdue, and had no success.
Later when we were out, i asked him again if the iPod was in the car.
"Yes."
"Will you get it please?"
In went his hand into the trash bag.
Which we had changed two days ago.
And the trash had gone out today.
Did i mention that i am a ditz?
