Not Good at Math

  Max sure does like those dice games.  More, he likes putting small numbers first, something i'm sure they don't do in class. 
  So we've explored negative numbers.  He's trying to wrap his head around them.  And fractions.  It's tough.
  Then we come up with something like this.  What the heck DO you do with this anyway?

  Well, i knew it was one of these two answers.

  Which, we had to get the calculator to figure out.
  The calculator said .5
  Okay, that's 1/2.  .5 = 5/10 = 1/2 =3/6.  Writing all this furiously.
  Somehow that tells us which way to go. 
  Somehow i think he's getting this better than i am.
