This is how we spent our anniversary.
Awhile back i shared about adding a digital signature to my main email account.
Well, after MyGuy updated the mail program, it no longer worked.
Isn't technology great? When it works, anyway.
Not that the sig does much more than assure your correspondants it is really you sending the email (and no, that work at home scheme without your sig is NOT you), but it helps. And i'd trained my correspondants to expect it, which is the idea.
So, between needing to stay home with Max and needing to fix the tech, this was our romantic evening.
But Boom will be home tomorrow night. Something will be on, we'll go out to celebrate, and i might - or might not - post a detail or two.
Anniversary
Longer ago than seems possible, a teacher managed to not notice a boy and a girl talking in class when their desks abutted hers.
A few years later, another girl introduced these two to each other, because the boy had forgotten they'd ever met. The two began a strange and wonder-full relationship.
We dated two years, were engaged another 13 months, and well over 30 years ago, were married.
Happy Anniversary, MyGuy. May i stick around with you some more?

Euodia and Syntyche
One of the Occasional Series of Meditations
Dear brothers and sisters, I love you and long to see you, for you are my joy and the reward for my work. So please stay true to the Lord, my dear friends.
And now I want to plead with those two women, Euodia and Syntyche. Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement.
And I ask you, my true teammate, to help these women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. And they worked with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life. Philippians 4:1-3

Associations
Some names bring a particular thought with them. Martha and her pots.
How about these two?
Not So Wordless Wednesday: Remembering DDay
Today the Indianapolis Star featured an interview with twins who had been in the Normandy invasion.
Like my dad, they were reluctant to discuss the experience.

Getting Max's Diagnosis: Part 2
After the hearing test results came back, i wasn't sure where to turn. A friend with an autistic son gave several suggestions, and i ultimately asked the psychologist with our local school system to evaluate him.
Getting Max's Diagnosis: Part 1
i really appreciated her words. This is part of my purpose in writing, to let people know what it's like to live with the condition.
Diagnosis Rate: Then & Now
When Max was tiny, i didn't know even as much as you all hear on the news. Autism WASN'T news. In the early 1990s, the diagnosis rate was 1 in 1,000 children*. A couple months ago, the rate was now given at 1 in 88 kids. Our Road to Diagnosis
Our route to diagnosis included a pediatrician telling us "Of course he isn't - he looks you in the eye and he likes to hug you," and a hearing test. And the very first paper we received explained why we shouldn't consider institutionalizing our child. What i'm Doing Now School is Out
STRUCTURE |
You see, if i leave Max to himself, he will veg in front of the TV watching PBS kids shows all day.
So i am not reading so much now, nor making much art of any description.
Sometimes he will work with me on a project, but we do other things.
