i told you i didn't know how to do this

i keep ordering the wrong fit!

  i am Mom.
  Therefore, getting clothing for Max is my job.
  For some reason.
  i think i'm getting better at it, but just last week i figured out what i've been doing wrong, why his pants pretty much always bunch up with the crotch at his knees.
  i keep ordering the "at the waist" fit.  Doesn't everyone WANT their pants to fit "at the waist"?  It's the only fit i want anyway.
  But apparently that's not so.  i know other women like the  "muffin top" fit, but somehow i'd thought that guys go for at the waist.
  Apparently that's an old-fashioned style. Even in this house, i'm the only one who wants this fit.
  But i'd always thought that the waist was where they wear their pants. 
  Maybe i did know why after all.  When Max tried them on, i asked if he didn't want to pull them up, and the answer was no.
We usually buy his clothers from KingSize catalogs.  i think the jeans here were one of these, but i don't think they were stretch or had side elastic.
