Last June Max visited one of his doctors. Acording to my calendar, he had another scheduled for Tuesday morning.
When we got the BDDS paper asking for a doctor's confirmation of his disability (necessary before 22nd birthday), i figured i'd drop the form at the doctor's office today. That would give the doctor a few days to get to it, and it would be ready Tuesday.
Seems so simple.
The receptionist looked over what i brought, and agreed. She said they would call if anything came up.
A few hours later, they called.
"Are you a new patient?"
No, been coming 2 years.
"We don't have any record of you. The doctor isn't coming in Tuesday. Has it been awhile since you were in?"
Fortuneately i had my calendar with me, and could cite both the time and date of the June appointment as well as the one Tuesday.
"Oh. We got a new system over the summer. You must not have made it over, and I'm new. I'll pull your file, and we'll set up a new appointment for you as soon as we can get you in."
Afternoon of the 21st instead of morning of the 4th. Nothing open until then.
Sigh. Is that part of being at the end of the alphabet?
