Tomorrow and Friday the finals of the
are being aired.  You may want to catch them if you can.
Not only do i simply find Jeopardy! a fascinating program, but i believe one of the finalists is a young woman on the autism spectrum.

This past week's Jeopardy! Teen Tournement had three intelligent, beautiful young ladies as finalists competing in Washington, DC.
It was especially interesting to see them lined up in a row, one exceptionally animated,  one average-ly animated, and the last somewhat stiff and reserved.
Alex Trebek commented that we never knew what was going on with the one girl until she smiled.
i thought that was significant.  As the contestants revealed their final answers, this girl became progressively more nervous while remaining self-contained.
When she showed her answer, which, with the final bet, made her the tournement champion, it looked like she was going to flap her hands in excitement.

This week they seem to be showing it locally at 7, not 7:30, on the regular WTHR channel in Indianapolis, to make room for the convention.  See your listings if you wish to check me out.

And i should say that i am not attempting to embarrass this young woman.  i'm not a doctor, but there is no actual medical test for autism.  Most articles are geared toward diagnosing an undiagnosed case.  If i am correct, this young woman has experiened much successful intervention.
However, it seemed useful, and within the bounds of my purposes, to indicate a possible real-life example of an individual on the autism spectrum who has experienced successful intervention.
