Not Quite Wordless Wednesday: Graveyard for No Longer Needed Words

These are hurtful words.  Perhaps they do have a clinical meaning; they should NOT be used in casual banter.

Retard - slow of thought; from Merriam Webster's online dictionary, slow or limited in intellectual or emotional development or academic progress
Cretin - one aflicted by cretinism, a thyroid deficiency resulting in mental limitations and stunting of physical growth
    Four-Eyes-  wearing glasses
Lobotomized - one who has received a controversial brain operation, given with the purpose of alleviating mental distress, but often causing incapacitation.
Mongoloid - old name for Down syndrome

A Famous Person is in the news just now for for blatantly, insensitively, impenitantly using the word out of context.
Giving her name more play probably helps her more than the cause of sensitivity and caring.

If you feel you need to insult someone - and i'm not recommending you do -  put a bit of effort into it. Do the job you plan, not make a mess all over.
It would've been simple to lob that same word back at Famous Person, but don''t blatant, insensitive, and impenitant fit the bill better?
Sharper.
