A Perfect Day for a Picnic

Last Friday Max and i went to the SelfAdvocates of Indiana Picnic.

Actually i think Max went just for the food, but we did have fun.
We came to Eagle Creek Park and found the out of the way area the group was set up in.  There were some games and an area for dancing.  Max and i danced, and i talked to some of the people, but though he seemed interested in the girls, he didn't want to dance with anyone but me.  Popcorn & snocones were free - Max wasted no time in having each!
He didn't seem interested in the games at first, but i said i wanted to try at least one.  When i got the beanbag in the hole, i won a prize.  At first i was going to let him pick a prize instead, but he hesitated, then i said maybe he should win his own prize.  So Max decided to play the game, and got a beanbag in the hole too.  He chose a duck-shaped bottle of bubble stuff.
in addition to getting one in,
Max also hung one over the board's eye!

We walked over to a picnic table & he enjoyed blowing the bubbles.

Actually the people around us, adults all, enjoyed the bubbles too.  One guy, possibly older than i, had a great deal of fun chasing them, until he realized i was taking photos!
We waited in some long lines for lunch.  There were a LOT of people there, having fun, sometimes mixing.  We have information on joining the group.
i'll add some of my pictures when i have my own internet connection again, but i wanted to share this while i have the chance.  Photos added 7/30/12
