Life on the Computer Farm: The Dangers of Tea

You won't be hearing much from me for awhile.  i seem to have left a coaster unevenly balanced.   We'll say it was my fault anyway, though i was nowhere near the accident & didn't know about it for over 24 hours.

MyGuy brought his huge glass of huge iced tea in and set it down next to the haystack computer.  Some of my papers were under part, but not all, of the coaster, & he didn't notice that.  At least not until the full glass had toppled into the guts of the machine.
So i am typing from the library.  Hopefully in a week, more or less, he will have a new CPU or whatever is required from our internet provider and i will be reading email and blogging from home.
May not be the CPU - we have all functionality except internet?  But most of what we do is internet, and, unlike MyGuy and Boom, i seldom have a natural occasion to use any other internet.  MyGuy has internet at work - heck, computer is what he DOES at work; of course he has internet.  And Boom has an Android or iPhone, never can remember which, and gets internet whereever there's cel service.
Max will have to make do with the TV for movies for the duration.
So i've made special effort to take a half hour at the library today.
7/25 update:  It's the MODEM - i should've known that!  And the new part arrived today.  MyGuy is now teaching it how to do its job.  Maybe functionality by the end of the week?
