National Crime Victim’s Rights Week
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and April 21 begins National Crime Victim’s Rights Week. People with disabilities face a disproportionate amount of sexual trauma. The rate of sexual abuse/assault is twice that faced by people without disabilities, and those with cognitive disabilities face the greatest risk of all. (4/21 ARC newsletter)
